WESTIN LONG BEACH RENOVATIONS SLATED TO BE COMPLETED BY JUNE

Westin Long Beach is anticipating wrapping up renovations by June. Since beginning in January, renovations have included updating guest rooms and hallways to bring calm and well-being to travelers' experiences. Fresh, cool color palettes are incorporated in the furniture, and guest rooms will include Heavenly Mattresses and 55-inch televisions. To bring the ocean indoors, dimensional artwork mirroring the topography of the ocean floor between Long Beach and Catalina will be throughout the hotel. To bring the culinary scene to life, Westin Long Beach will offer Navy Proof Food and Spirits and coffee hub Bluestone Lane.

"Long Beach is on the rise! This community continues to get press about the hospitality, growth and indie culture that is part of Long Beach," says John Thompson, managing director of Westin Long Beach. "We are attracting more leisure business because of the world class amenities and attractions in our area. Meeting planners are excited about the upgrades to one of the country's best convention centers, and the Westin Long Beach is at the center of it all."

Currently, Westin Long Beach boasts 50,000 square feet of meeting space, including a main ballroom, junior ballroom and several breakout spaces. Though these spaces are not included in this year's renovations, Thompson says it will be part of their future planning. For now, they're focused on helping guests feel relaxed and comfortable while staying at their hotel.

"We want our guests to rise and be the best versions of themselves while they travel. As Long Beach continues to become a leading player in group and meeting business, we want to be the preeminent hotel when people think of Long Beach," he says. "The best location. Genuine service delivered with thoughtful care. The city's bset meeting space. The hottest food and beverage venues. All these touchpoints come together to tell a compelling story of hospitality in one of California's most interesting cities."
